JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Minister of State Secretary Pratikno revealed about the commitment of President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on eradicating corruption as the President has ordered the National Police to stop criminalization effort over the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Kompas.com reported.
As reported earlier, the police has named two temporarily dismissed KPK leaders as suspects. The first was Bambang Widjojanto in a case related to the post-election dispute of Kotawaringin Barat regency back in 2010.
The second was Abraham Samad, who has been named as suspect in the two separate cases.
Other than Bambang and Abraham, the police earlier also received reports against three other KPK leaders (Adnan Pandu Pradja, Zulkarnain, and Johan Budi SP) and two former KPK leaders (Busyro Muqoddas and Chandra M Hamzah).
The police, moreover, were also eyeing 21 KPK’s investigators as target of investigation for allegedly owning illegal guns. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
