JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The South Sulawesi Police is scheduled on Tuesday (Feb. 24) to question Abraham Samad, the non-active Chief of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), as suspect in the case of falsifying document.

The National Police’s Criminal Investigation (Bareskrim Polri), meanwhile, will question KPK non-active Deputy Chief Bambang Widjojanto as suspect in separate case.

The Tuesday’s questioning will be the first examination session for Abraham. As for Bambang, the questioning will be the third hearing.

Nursyahbani Katjasungkana, a lawyer of both Abraham and Bambang, said that her clients will answer police’s summon for questioning.

Abraham and Bambang have been temporarily dismissed from the KPK by President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo last week. The President’s decision was made accordance to the KPK Law No. 30/2002 following police’s decision to name both Abraham and Bambang as suspects. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
