JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has appointed Taufiqurrahman Ruki, Indriyanto Senoadji, and Johan Budi SP as three acting leaders of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to replace Abraham Samad, Bambang Widjojanto, and Busyro Muqoddas.

In a press briefing on Wednesday (Feb 18) at the State Palace, President Jokowi said he will issue a government regulation in lieu of law (Perppu) before issuing a presidential decree regarding the appointment of Taufiqurrahman Ruki, Indriyanto Senoadji, and Johan Budi SP as acting KPK leaders.

The President said he has for temporary dismissed Abraham Samad and Bambang Widjojanto following the Police’s decision on naming both Abraham and Bambang as suspects.

Busyro Muqoddas, meanwhile, has effectively ended his term as KPK Deputy Chief on Dec. 16, 2014. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
