JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Chief of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Abraham Samad has denied all allegations made against him following the South Sulawesi Police’s decision to name him as suspect.

In a press briefing on Tuesday (Feb. 17), Abraham said he does not know about the case of falsifying document used by police to name him as suspect. Abraham, moreover, said he also does not know about Feriyani Lim, a woman mentioned in the case.

Abraham, however, said he will honor the legal process conducted by the police against him. he even said he’s ready to resign from his position as KPK Chief following the police’s decision.

As reported earlier, Spokesperson of South Sulawesi Police Office Sr. Comr. Endi Sutendi said the police named Abraham Samad as suspect related to allegation of falsifying document for a woman identified as Feriyani Lim. Endi said Abraham has been named as suspect in the case since Feb. 9.

Abraham is the second KPK leader named as suspect by the police within the last three weeks. Previously, the National Police’s Criminal Investigation (Bareskrim Polri) has named KPK Deputy Chief Bambang Widjojanto as suspect.
