JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – State pharmaceutical company PT Kimia Farma Tbk (KAEF) booked net profit of Rp43.17 billion in first half of this year, dropped 47% from Rp81 billion in the same period of last year.

Net sales increased to Rp1.74 trillion from previous Rp1.58 trillion. While cost of goods sold also rose to Rp1.24 trillion from Rp1.07 trillion a year earlier.

Its assets totaled Rp2.14 trillion while liability amounted Rp691 billion.

Kimia Farma targets to expand its business to Vietnam this year in boosting revenues contribution from export market. It also plans to build 3 pharmacy outlets in Malaysia this year and intends to expand its retail pharmacy in Myanmar.
