JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened higher by 0.7% to 4,614 this morning, rebounded from Monday’s correction, as most companies reported positive results for first half of this year. Regional markets were also mostly in green zone.

In Jakarta bourse, banking stocks led market’s gain. Bank Rakyat Indonesia rose 1.9%, Bank Central Asia increased 1.5%, and Bank Bukopin lifted 1.54%. While Bank Mandiri fell 0.57% on profit taking.

Some blue chips also gained; Astra International (+0.79%), Adaro Energy (+1.43%), Bumi Serpong Damai (+1.29%), Lippo Karawaci (+1.53%), Kalbe Farma (+0.75%), and Telkom (+0.44%).

Other gainers were Media Nusantara Citra (+0.8%), Waskita Karya (+1.3%), Global Mediacom (+1.1%), Multipolar (+1.85%), and Pakuwon Jati (+1.32%).
