JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Former graft convict and ex-judge Syarifuddin filed a report to the National Police’s Criminal Investigation (Bareskrim Polri) against four leaders of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and former KPK Deputy Chief of Busyro Muqoddas.
Syarifuddin accused Abraham Samad, Bambang Widjojanto, Adnan Pandu Praja, and Zulkarnain plus Busyro for falsifying evidences in form of voice recorders used to prove him guilty for receiving bribe.
Syarifuddin claimed that his voice in said recorders asking for Rp250 million bribe money is untrue and it was engineered. He said he never asked for bribe and he, moreover, said the conversation never happen.
Syarifuddin was a judge at the Central Jakarta District Court before the graft case handled by KPK dragged him as convict. He was caught red-handed by the KPK in a bribery transaction back in 2011. The Jakarta Corruption Court later concluded Syarifuddin has been proven guilty for graft and he was sentenced to four years imprisonment back in Feb. 28, 2012. But a year later, he was released in parole on Oct. 23, 2013. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
