JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended down by 1.68% to 4,580 on Monday (July 29) following the falls in regional markets.

Japan’s Nikkei dropped 3.32% and Australia’s All Ordinaries lost 1.72%.

In Jakarta bourse, Astra International fell 2.33%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia dropped 3.1%, Kalbe Farma declined 2.2%, London Sumatra shed 4.76%, and Telkom down 2.15%.

Other losers were Borneo Lumbung (-6.25%), Aneka Tambang (-4%), Global Mediacom (-3.12%), Matahari Putra Prima (-4.8%), and Visi Media (-5.6%).

Among gainers were Alam Sutera (+1.43%), Bumi Serpong Damai (+1.97%), and Media Nusantara Citra (+1.67%).

The rupiah was traded flat at Rp10,270 against the US Dollar.
