JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has finally detained graft suspect Sutan Bhatoegana, SBY’s Democratic Party politician and former Head of the House of Representatives (DPR) Commission VII, after an examination session on Monday (Feb. 2).

KPK immediately brought Bhatoegana from its office to the Salemba detention center just after finishing examination session over the Democratic Party politician at 18:48 pm of Jakarta time on Monday.

KPK’s official Priharsa Nugraha said Bhatoegana will be detained for the next 20 days.

KPK’s Spokesperson Johan Budi SP added that Bhatoegana has revealed more important informations to the investigators regarding the involvement of other lawmakers in Bhatoegana’s graft scheme. Johan, moreover, revealed the possibility to name new suspects in the case.

As reported earlier, Bhatoegana has been named as graft suspect since May. 14, 2014. Bhatoegana is alleged for receiving bribe money from the powerful upstream oil & gas regulatory body (SKK Migas) and then delivering those bribe money that known as the so-called holiday bonuses (THR) to the leaders and members of the House Commission VII (overseeing energy & mineral resources affairs).

According to KPK’s minutes of investigation (BAP) on the former SKK Migas Head Rudi Rubiandini dated Sep. 4, 2013, Rudi said he was delivered US$200,000 in July 2013 to Sutan Bhatoegana through Tri Yulianto, another Democratic Party lawmaker, as a request from Bhatoegana.
