JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Indonesia’ export value reached US$14.62 billion in December 2014, grew by 7.38% from US$13.61 billion in November 2014. Compared to December 2013, the figure fell 13.83%.
Non oil and gas export rose 6.59% to US$12.27 billion in December 2014 from US$11.51 billion in previous month. Compared to December 2013, the figure fell 9.55%.
Export non oil and gas to United States reached US$1.47 billion, followed by China US$1.33 billion, and Japan US$1.26 billion. Export to European Union totaled US$1.45 billion.
For January-December 2014 period, the export totaled US$176.29 billion, declined 3.43% from the same period of 2013. Non oil and gas export also declined 2.64% to US$145.96 billion.
While Indonesia’s import value reached US$14.43 billion in December 2014, grew by 2.8% from US$14.04 billion in previous month. Compared to December 2013, the figure fell 6.61%.
Import of non oil and gas reached US$11.05 billion, rose 4.51% from US$10.57 billion in previous month. Compared to December 2013, the figure dropped 19.71%.
Indonesia then posted trade surplus of US$187 million, compared to trade deficit of US$42 million in November 2014.
For January-December 2014 period, the import reached US$178.18 billion, declined 4.53% from 2013. Import of oil and gas totaled US$43.46 billion while import of non oil and gas reached US$134.72 billion.
