JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Prabowo Subianto, one of influential leaders in the opposition group known as the Red-and-White coalition (KMP) has on Thursday met with President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo at the Presidential Palace in Bogor, West Java.
Prabowo told reporters ahead of the meeting with President that the meeting is initiated by himself and President, for keeping “Silaturahim”, literally means keeping in contact or establishing compassion.
Prabowo declined to mention the real agenda of the meeting with the President, but the national media were speculating the meeting would be related to recent hullabaloo surrounding the nomination of graft suspect Comr. Gen. Budi Gunawan as new Police Chief and recent conflict between the national police and the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
