JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – State construction firm PT Waskita Karya Tbk (WSKT) mulls to enter electricity transmission project with capacity of 500 kilo volts (KV) in Sumatera. This project costs Rp10 trillion.
This would be the first transmission project for WSKT as a construction firm. The transmission will be built for 1200 kilometers way under fully-funded scheme by the developer.
The project will be fully owned by state electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) after the completion of the construction.
WSKT will get capital injection of Rp3.5 trillion from the government and Rp1.8 trillion from rights issue.
WSKT is also seeking loan of Rp3.85 trillion, to fund its bridge construction in Penajam, Kalimantan. As at September 2014, WSKT’s short term loan reached Rp1.99 trillion. While its equity totaled Rp2.4 trillion.
