JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Feed producers PT Malindo Feedmill Tbk (MAIN), through its subsidiary PT Malindo Food Delight, has obtained export license from the government of Japan, to resume export of its processed food, after being halted since 2004 following the avian flu outbreak.
MAIN’s proceeds foods to be exported to Japan are such as nugget, karage, wings, and drumstick.
MAIN will also targets to export to Asia and Middle East. Its competitors, PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk (CPIN) PT Sierad Produce Tbk (SIPD) and PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JPFA) have late last year obtained export licenses from Japan’s government.
MAIN allocates capital expenditure (capex) of US$50 million, equivalent Rp600 billion, for this year.
