JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended higher 0.56% at 5188 on Thursday (Jan 15), led by blue chip stocks.
Asian stocks mostly edged up on Thursday after a significant rebound in oil and copper prices brought a semblance of calm, Reuters reported.
Bumi Resources (BUMI) jumped 10.78%, Astra International gained 3.19%, Alam Sutera rose 2.61%, Lippo Karawaci climbed 2.49%, Bank Mandiri increased 1.63%, and London Sumatra hiked 1.55%.
Other gainers were Adhi Karya ( 1.88%), Inovisi ( 8.4%), Waskita Karya ( 3.87%), Wijaya casino online Karya ( 2.25%), Pakuwon Jati ( 1.07%), and Berau Coal ( 4.05%).
Nymex”s crude oil fell 1.59% to US$47.71 per barrel because of a global oversupply. Gold also declined 0.45% to US$1,228.90 per ounce. The rupiah weakened again to Rp12,617 against the US dollar.
