JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended higher 0.7% at 5207 on Wednesday (Jan 7) as investors collected backs certain local stocks after recent falls.
Markets in Asia also regained. While Nymex’s crude oil fell 1.75% to US$47.09 per barrel and gold declined 0.34% to US$1,215.20 per ounce.
Property stocks gained. Alam Sutera jumped 4.5%, Lippo Karawaci lifted 1.5%, Bumi Serpong Damai rose 1.58%, and Pakuwon Jati rose 2.9%.
Bank Rakyat Indonesia also gained 2.17%, Bumi Resources climbed 1.2%, and Jababeka hiked 2.37%.
Other gainers were Inovisi (+16.67%), Media Nusantara Citra (+2.13%), Waskita Karya (+3.94%), and Wijaya Karya (+2.67%).
While BW Plantation fell 2.05%, Trada Maritim dropped 10.97%, Bumi Resources Minerals lost 1.75%, Garuda Indonesia declined 2.36%, and Matahari Putra Prima shed 2.31%.
