JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – National Agency for Rescue and Search (Basarnas) this morning intensifies searching of victims of crashed AirAsia QZ8510 aircraft, though to struggle with bad weather.
Search and Rescue (SAR) found 2 female corpses at 5 pm WIB and one man corpse at 5.30 pm WIB on Tuesday (Dec 30).
This morning Basarnas reported through its website that 2 men corpses and one female corpse identified as stewardess have been evacuated.
Basarnas’ chief Bambang Soelistyo told reporters on Tuesday that SAR have found 8 corpses at Karimata strait, 6 corpses have been evacuated.
Today, National Transportation Safety Committee (NTSC) starts to seek the black box in the area of crashed AirAsia at Karimata strait.
Authorities earlier confirmed that there are 162 people aboard of AirAsia QZ 8501, which went missing in Belitung waters, Indonesia on Sunday (Dec 28).
The plane had seven crew, including French national as co-pilot, and 155 passengers.
The plane lost contact with air traffic control 42 minutes after takeoff from Surabaya, East Java.
