JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The joint rescue team has on Sunday (Dec. 21) ended their search for victims buried under the landlisde in Jemblung village, Sampang, Karangkobar, Banjarnegara, Central Java.
The rescue team released that the death toll in the landslide reached 95 people, while 13 others are still missing.
Banjarnegara Regent Sutedjo Slamet Utomo, meanwhile, said the local government will handle 1.225 refugees dispersed in 15 different shelters.
As reported earlier, a heavy rain triggered the landslide that swallowed up houses in Jemblung village on Dec. 12. More than 100 residents reportedly were buried under the landslide. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
