JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – This week, the trading will be closed for Thursday and Friday for Christmas celebration day as some investors might have taken their holidays, trading in stocks this week would be quiet but the volatility remain to persist though limited.
Last week, foreign investors booked net sell of Rp4.83 trillion last week. Year to date, foreign net buy totals Rp43.537 trillion.
Meanwhile the Financial Services Authority (OJK) recorded the national banks’ profit only grew by 5.74% to Rp94.15 trillion for January-October 2014 period, lower than 7.86% growth for the corresponding period of 2013.
Bank Indonesia expects November’s trade balance would be deficit as import was still too high while export of commodities declined. In October 2014, the country recorded a surplus of US$0.02 billion.
