JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Ahmad Imam Al Hafitd (19) and his girlfriend Assyifa Ramadhani (18) go on verdict trial Tuesday (Dec. 9) noon charged with life sentence for murdering 19-year-old Ade Sara Angelina Suroto.

Took place at Central Jakarta District Court, the verdict trial is scheduled to be held at around 11:00 AM of Jakarta time. But at the time of writing, the trial yet started.

As reported earlier, the prosecutor team has demanded life sentence punishment to both defendants for violating Article 340 of the Indonesian Criminal Code (KUHP) on a premeditated murder over Ade Sara.

Hafitd and Assyifa have been alleged for murdering Ade Sara. According to police, two defendants tortured Sara for hours in Hafitd’s car on March 3, 2014 before they dumped her body on the Bintara toll road in Bekasi, West Java, where it was found by police two days later.

Hafitd, Assyifa and Sara graduated from the same public high school, SMAN 36, in East Jakarta last year. Ade Sara was the only daughter of Suroto and Elizabeth Diana.

The murder trial of Ade Sara is under public spotlight since the first trial held on Aug. 19, 2014. Presiding Judge Absoroh led the trial. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
