JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Foreign tourists visiting Indonesia reached 808,767 tourists in October 2014, grew by 12.34% from 719,903 in October 2013. Compared to September 2014, the figure increased 2.21%. Foreign investors visited Indonesia in September 2014 totaled 791,296.
Total foreign tourists went to Bali, one of the most attractive places in Indonesia, through Ngurah Rai Airport, in October 2014 amounted 339,200 tourists, jumped 27.3% from 266,453 in October 2013. Compared with September 2014, the number fell 3.64%.
The main gate of Soekarno-Hatta Airport recorded foreign arrival of 177,274 tourists in October 2014, fell 7.41% from 191,460 tourists in October 2013. Compared with September 2014, the figure rose 1.78%.
The number of tourists stayed in star hotels in 27 provinces reached an average number of 54.29% in October 2014, up 0.20 points compared to October 2013 (54.09%). Compared to September 2014 (54.21%), the number was up 0.08 points.
Both domestic and international tourists on average stayed in the star hotels for around 1.98 days in October 2014, up 0.07 points compared to October 2013, and down 0.04 days from September 2014.
