JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Indonesia’ export value reached US$15.35 billion in October 2014, up 0.49% from US$15.28 billion in September 2014. Compared to October 2013, the figure declined 2.21%.

Non oil and gas export increased 1.8% to US$12.88 billion from US$12.65 billion in previous month. Compared to October 2013, the figure was down 0.78%.

Export non oil and gas to Japan reached US$1.35 billion, followed by United States reached US$1.34 billion, and India US$1.23 billion. Export to European Union totaled US$1.43 billion.

For January-September 2014 period, the export totaled US$148.06 billion, declined 1.06% from the same period of 2013. Non oil and gas export also fell 0.81% to US$122.19 billion.

While Indonesia’s import value reached US$15.33 billion in October 2014, declined 1.4% from US$15.55 billion in previous month. Compared to October 2013, the figure fell 2.21%.

Import of non oil and gas reached U$S11.75 billion, declined 1.21% from US$11.89 billion in previous month. Compared to October 2013, the figure dropped 3.69%.

Indonesia then posted trade surplus of US$23.2 million in October 2014, compared to deficit US$270 million in September 2014.
