JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – State railway operator PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) has bagged syndicated loan facility of Rp3.04 trillion from 4 banks.

That 4 banks (Bank Mandiri, Bank Rakyat Indonesia, Bank Negara Indonesia, Bank Central Asia) provided Rp760.21 billion loan each. The loan has tenor of 10 years with 2 years grace period.

KAI will use the loan for funding the development of infrastructure and service for the electricity power railway connecting Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi (Jabodetabek).

KAI plans to invest Rp4.2 trillion on this project and targets to serve 1.2 million passengers per day by 2019.

That 4 banks also plans to provide another Rp1.87 trillion for funding the construction of railway to Airport, or 75% of total project (of Rp2.5 trillion).
