JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo is looking for new Director General of Taxation Office at the Ministry of Finance to replace Fuad Rahmany, who will enter his mandatory retirement age on Dec. 1, 2014.

Talking to the press on Tuesday (Nov. 4), Minister of Home Affairs Tjahjo Kumolo said that the President prefers new Director General of Taxation Office who can build a synergy with the new Attorney General and the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

The former Secretary General of PDI-P said the President also prefers new Director General of Taxation Office who will be firm and gives zero tolerance to mischievous taxpayers.

In a related progress, Minister of Finance Bambang Brodjonegoro earlier said he’s now still hunting the best figure to lead the Taxation Office.

The watchdog group Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW), meanwhile, has urged President Jokowi to involving the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the Indonesian Financial Transaction Reports & Analysis Center (PPATK) on the selection process of new Director General of Taxation Office, pretty much like when the President involved both KPK and PPATK to select ministerial candidates.
