SYDNEY (Yosefardi) – Kupang Resources Ltd (KPR) views that the granting of a 25 lease for the current Bolok Process Plant in September 2014 by the Regional Governor as a significant step for KPR.
This gazetted industrial area requires the approval of the Regional Governor for new agreements or changes to existing agreements.
The step indicates that approval of the key regional permits aligned with the new export legislation is imminent.
The Regional Permits will allow the domestic purchase, processing and sale of manganese from anywhere in the region under the Governor’s juridiction.
The two recent Tenau port upgrades have been completed by the Tenau Port management, specifically for Kupang JV’s use under its current port agreement for its manganese ship loading operations.
The Kupang Project is located in (Kupang) West Timor, in the Indonesian province of Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT), a region well known globally as a source of high-grade Manganese ore. The project is located 13km by road from the planned processing area. The process area is only 3km by road from the port facilities of Kupang, where it is proposed ore from the Kupang Project will be shipped.
Under the Joint Operation Agreement, the Kupang Project Joint Venture intends to export high grade Manganese product using it’s dedicated 80,000t/month berth capacity and wholly owned direct ship loading equipment.
