JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Prof. Mardiasmo, 56, has been sworn in as new Vice Minister of Finance, Monday (Oct. 27) noon.
Mardiasmo will assist new Minister of Finance Bambang Permadi Soemantri Brodjonegoro.
Prior to the appointment, Mardiasmo is a Professor of Accounting at the Yogyakarta’s Gadjah Mada University (UGM). He is also former Head of the Development Finance Comptroller (BPKP).
Mardiasmo was born in Surakarta, Central Java, on May. 10, 1958.
He obtained a bachelor degree in Accounting from UGM, 1981. He then got a master degree from Bridgeport University, US, 1989, and a doctoral degree from Birmingham University, UK, 1999. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
