JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Ignatius Jonan, CEO of state-owned railway operator PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI), has been appointed new minister of transportation by President Joko Widodo.
President Joko Widodo introduced Jonan as a hardworking executive with strong leadership. This is not a big surprise because his name has widely been tipped as the best candidate for the job.
Started out his career in financial industry, Jonan was CEO of state-owned investment company Bahana (BPUI) before the promotion as CEO of KAI.
