JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Plantation shares were mostly in red in the region this morning as crude palm oil (CPO) dropped further in the futures market.
Astra Agro Lestari and BW Plantations slip 1% each in Jakarta, while Sampoerna Agro and London Sumatra down 2.6% and 0.7% respectively.
In Singapore, Bumitama Agri dropped 2.5%, while First Resources slipped 0.3%. Wilmar and Indofood Agri, however, regained grounds.
The benchmark October 2013 contracts of CPO dropped RM16 to RM2242 per ton on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Wednesday (July 24), while September contracts down RM18 to RM2267/ton.
