JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended higher 0.8% to 4962 Wednesday (October 15) following most markets in the region.
Japan”s Nikkei rose 0.9% Wednesday, but gains were limited by investor worries about the slowing global economy and the deadly Ebola virus.
Bank Negara Indonesia jumped 4.74%, Bank Mandiri casino online gained 2.1%, Telkom hiked 2.88%, and Wijaya Karya gained 3.18%.
Coal stocks were focus of selling. Adaro Energy dropped 6.93%, Bumi Resources lost 6.15%, and Berau Coal fell 8.57%. While Bumi Resources Minerals surged 10.34%. London Sumatra also declined 4.31%.
Nymex”s crude oil fell 1.63% to US$80.51 per barrel and gold declined 0.83% to US$1,224.10 per ounce. The rupiah weakened to Rp12,229 against the US dollar.
