JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Indonesia’s national football team fails to advance out of the group qualification for Under-19 Asian Cup, held in Myanmar, after losing in two matches with Uzbekistan and Australia.
In a death match against Australia on Sunday (Oct. 12), Indonesia had some opportunities to win the game through Captain Evan Dimas, center forward Mukhlis Hadi, and attacking midfielder Paolo Sitanggang before forced to lose by a goal scored by Jaushua Sotirio.
Previously, Paolo Sitanggang scored a fantastic long shot goal from 30 yards in the first match, but it cannot safe Indonesia from defeat to Uzbekistan with score 1-3.
Indonesia has still one last match against United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Tuesday (Oct. 14). But whatever the result, Indonesia has been already eliminated from the championship.
Uzbekistan, Australia, UAE, meanwhile, have still a chance to go to the second round. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
