JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) closed lower 0.62% at 4962 Friday (October 10), but closed off its low, after losing 1% at the opening morning trade.
Regional markets also closed in red, to tracking Wall Street.
Astra International lost 3.35%, Bumi Serpong Damai declined 2.67%, Adhi Karya dropped 4.36%, Multipolar shed 5.08%, and Matahari Putra Prima slashed 5.53%.
Coal stocks were also focus of selling. Adaro Energy dropped 4.39%, Bumi Resources lost 4.03%, Delta Dunia fell 3.4%, and Bumi Resources Minerals shed 1.3%.
Energy stocks also closed in red. Energi Mega dropped 5.05% and Elnusa fell 1.72%. While Benakat Integra jumped 4.27%. Miner Aneka Tambang fell 2.94%.
Tower Bersama Infrastructure gained 4.73% on the signing of strategic partnership with Telkom (TLKM) in PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi (Mitratel). Lippo Karawaci also gained 2.08%.
Nymex’s crude oil fell 1.5% to US$84.48 per barrel and gold declined 0.26% to US$1,222.10 per ounce. The rupiah weakened to Rp12,207 against the US dollar.
