JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Judges of Semarang Corruption Court Pragsono and Palu Corruption Court Judge Asmadinanta have been named as suspects in bribery case. The two suspects have allegedly received funds in a corruption court, at the time they served as judges.
Johan Budi, spokesperson of the anti graft commission KPK, revealed that the institution already has sufficient evidences to charge the judges. Both of them, Johan added, will be charged with article 12 C and article 6 (2) of Corruption Law No 31/1999 as amended with law no 20/2001
He added that the judges were member of the same judges panel with Kartini Julianna Marpaung and their suspect status was an outcome of investigation development on Kartini’s case.
Kartini Marpaung is former judge of the Semarang Corruption Court. In 2013 Kartini was proven guilty of receiving bribery for corruption case of M Yaeni, former Grobogan Legislative Head. The bribery brought her to eight years imprisonment.
The case started with KPK’s arrest on Kartini Marpaung and another Semarang Corruption Court’s Judge Heru Kisbandono on Independence Day Aug. 17 2012. They were cought red-handed received Rp150 million from Sri Dartuti, sister of M Yaeni.
