JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confidently promises to bring the long-delayed Rp6.7 trillion Bank Century bailout scandal to the Corruption Court this year.

Bambang Widjojanto, Deputy Chief of KPK, stated that the Commission has set its eyes on the involvement of more high-ranking officers from the central bank.

Budi Mulya and Siti CH Fadjrijah, two former deputies of Bank Indonesia, have has been named as suspects in the case.

In a related progress, KPK has just summoned Ardhayadi Mitroatmodjo, former Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI), for examination session on Tuesday (July 23) morning. Ardhayadi was examined as witness for Budi Mulya.

Beside, KPK also summoned two other witnesses this morning. They are Pahot Gumpar Hutasoit (former staff of Bank Century) and Yunandar Bustal (former staff of Bank Indonesia).

While a month ago, KPK has raided the office of Bank Indonesia in Medan Merdeka Jakarta to search for evidences and documents related to the case.
