JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Riau Governor and key leader of Golkar Party Annas Maamun, 73, has been questioned by the KPK’s investigators on Tuesday (Sep. 30) related to further investigation into bribery case for 140 hectares forest conversion in Kuantan Singingi regency, Riau.
KPKs’ Spokesperson Priharsa Nugraha explained that KPK questioned Annas as witness for a businessman Gulat Medali Emas Manurung, another suspect in the case.
As reported earlier, KPK has named Annas and Gulat as two suspects in the case. Both Anas and Gulat were caught red handed by KPK’s investigators in a bribery transaction in Cibubur, East Jakarta, on Thursday last week.
KPK has also seized Rp500 million and Sin$156,000 cash money from the transaction.
According to KPK Chief Abraham Samad, KPK has charged Annas with Article 12a or Article 12b or Article 11 of the Anti-Corruption Law. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
