JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – PT Brent Ventura, subsidiary of PT Brent Securities, is now under investigation by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) as it has defaulted on payment its medium term notes (MTN) since March 2014.
OJK urges Brent Securities to take the responsibility of paying MTN funds to clients of Brent Ventura as the notes is guaranteed by Brent Securities.
OJK had recently set up the securities investor protection fund (SIPF) for protecting the investors funds from any fraud or default issues.
OJK has set Rp25 million taken from the investors protection fund as the maximum guarantee for an investor for covering the loss of investment.
