JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended up 0.37% at 5227 Friday (September 19), but closed off its high as profit taking hit certain stocks. Regional markets also closed in green.
Alam Sutera gained 1.04%, Bank Rakyat indonesia rose 2.86%, Bumi Resources jumped 3.17%, Jababeka climbed 1.13%, and Telkom increased 2.43%.
Other gainers were Bank Tabungan Negara (+1.34%), Waskita Karya (+2.27%), Wijaya Karya (+1.76%), and Pakuwon Jati (+5.87%).
Nymex’s crude oil fell 0.58% to US$92.53 per barrel and gold declined 0.16% to US$1,228.10 per ounce. The rupiah strengthened to Rp11,985 against the US dollar.
