JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended higher 0.2% at 5143 Friday, but closed off its high as profit taking hit certain stocks. The index moved at range of 5127-5156.

Regional markets also mostly closed in green zone. Nymex’s crude oil increased 0.61% to US$93.40 per barrel while gold fell 0.18% to US$1,240.30 per ounce. The rupiah was traded flat at Rp11,831 against the US dollar.

At Jakarta bourse, Adaro Energy gained 1.56%, BW Plantation rose 2.63%, London Sumatra hiked 3.43%, and Timah jumped 6.8%.

Other gainers were Global Mediacom (+2.12%), Multipolar (+2%), and Visi Media (+1.25%). While profit taking hit banking stocks; Bank Negara Indonesia (-2.59%), Bank Rakyat Indonesia (-1.4%), Bank Central Asia (-1.23%), and Bank Mandiri (-1.92%).
