JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened up 0.03% at 5247 this morning while regional markets opened in mixed.
Trading volumes of Asian equities are expected to remain light with markets in South Korea and Hong Kong shut for the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Wall Street closed mixed on Monday with energy producers leading losses on oil’s drop to a multi-month low.
Nymex’s crude oil rose 0.43% to US$93.06 per barrel in Asian trading while gold fell 0.14% to US$1,256 per ounce.
Bumi Resources Minerals gained further 4.2%, Pakuwon Jati rose 1%, Bank Central Asia increased 0.8%, Astra International up 0.7%, and Perusahaan Gas Negara gained 0.84%.
