JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended higher 0.56% to 5246 Monday (September 8), but closed off its high as profit hit certain stocks.

The index moved at range of 5241-5262. Regional markets mostly closed in red zone.

Aneka Tambang gained 2.54%, Adaro Energy rose 2.21%, Bank Central Asia increased 1.45%, London Sumatra hiked 1.33%, and Telkom lifted 3.85%.

Other gainers were Multipolar (+1.94%), Matahari Putra Prima (+1.27%), Visi Media (+3.84%), and Bumi Resources Minerals (+5.93%).

Nymex’s crude oil fell 0.62% to US$92.71 per barrel while gold inched up 0.04% to US$1,267.80 per ounce. The rupiah strengthened to Rp11,722 against the US dollar.
