JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended higher 0.43% at 5224 Wednesday (September 3) inline with regional markets. While the rupiah weakened further to Rp11,781 against the US dollar.
Reuters reported upbeat Chinese services activity reports helped lift Asian shares on Wednesday. Chinese stocks cheered the reports, with the Shanghai Composite Index and the Hang Seng Index rising 1 percent and 1.8 percent respectively.
Adaro Energy gained 2.62%, Alam Sutera rose 1%, Lippo Karawaci up 1.9%, Bank Negara Indonesia hiked 2.26%, BW Plantation lifted 2.33%, London Sumatra gained 2.41%, Jababeka climbed 1.41%, and Perusahaan Gas Negara rose 1.28%.
Other gainers were Adhi Karya (+2.13%), Waskita Karya (+3.31%), Wijaya Karya (+2.98%), Global Mediacom (+2.3%), Matahari Putra Prima (+1.28%), and Visi Media (+2.84%).
