JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Police Ins. Gen. Unggung Cahyono has been sworn in as the new Chief of the Jakarta Police in a handover ceremony held at the National Police headquarters, Wednesday (September 3).
The two-star police general replaces Ins. Gen. Dwi Priyatno, who was appointed as the new Head of the National Police’s Public Supervision Inspectorate (Irwasum) replacing Comr. Gen. Anton Bachrul Alama who entered his mandatory retirement age.
Prior to the promotion, Unggung served as the Chief of East Java Police. While Unggung’s successor, Ins. Gen. Anas Yusuf has been appointed as the new East Java Police Chief.
Unggung Cahyono was born in Makassar, South Sulawesi on April 9, 1961. The 53-year-old police general graduated from the Police Academy (Akpol) in 1985.
Other than that, the Chief of the National Police General Sutarman also inaugurated a number of other police generals to fill several strategic positions within the National Police and the regional police. They are as follows:
1. Ins. Gen. Pudji Hartanto promoted as the new Governor of the Police Academy replacing Ins. Gen. Eko Hadi Sutedjo
2. Brig. Gen. Condro Kirono promoted as the new Chief of the National Police Traffic Corps Division (Korlantas) replacing Ins. Gen. Pudji Hartanto
3. Ins. Gen. Eko Hadi Sutedjo promoted as the new Chief of the North Sumatra Police replacing Ins. Gen. Syarief Gunawan
4. Ins. Gen. Andayono promoted as the new Chief of the East Kalimantan Police replacing Ins. Gen. Dicky D. Atotoy
5. Ins. Gen. Anton Setiadji promoted as the new Chief of the South Sulawesi Police replacing Ins. Gen. Burhanuddin Andi
6. Brig. Gen. Dolly Bambang Hermawan promoted as the new Chief of Riau Police replacing Brig. Gen. Condro Kirono
7. Brig. Gen. Bambang Sudarisman promoted as the new Chief of Jambi Police replacing Brig. Gen. Satriya Hari Prasetya
8. Brig. Gen. Srijono promoted as the new Chief of the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Police replacing Brig. Gen. Moechgiarto
9. Brig. Gen. Endang Sunjaya promoted as the new Chief of the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Police replacing Brig. Gen. I Ketut Untung Yoga Ana
