JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended up 0.46% at 5201 Tuesday (September 2) following regional markets.

Reuters reported risk appetite flickered back into life in financial markets on Tuesday with the dollar and European and Japanese shares rising.

Adaro Energy gained 1.14%, Bank Negara Indonesia rose 2.79%, BW Plantation climbed 3.86%, London Sumatra lifted 1.9%, and Vale Indonesia hiked 1.56%.

Other gainers were Bank Tabungan Negara (+3.17%), Pakuwon Jati (+1.38%), and Matahari Putra Prima (+1.3%).

Nymex’s crude oil rose 1.36% to US$95.96 per barrel while gold declined 0.14% to US$1,290.40 per ounce. The rupiah weakened to Rp11,734 against the US dollar.
