JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended up 0.37% at 5184 Thursday (August 28), but closed off high.

The index kept gaining during morning trade but profit taking hit in the afternoon trade. It moved at range of 5165-5194.

Aneka Tambang gained 1.26%, Alam Sutera rose 2%, Bank Negara Indonesia increased 1.87%, Bumi Resources lifted 1.57%, Vale Indonesia added 1.1%, and Timah climbed 1.05%. Pakuwon Jati also jumped 3.55% and Matahari Putra Prima surged 3.2%.

Among losers were Adaro Energy (-1.87%), BW Plantation (-1.91%), and Bank Tabungan Negara (-2.17%).

Nymex’s crude oil fell 0.36% to US$93.54 per barrel while gold rose 0.5% to US$1,289.70 per ounce. The rupiah strengthened to Rp11,682 against the US dollar.
