JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended down 0.14% at 5198 Friday (August 22), but closed off its low. The index moved at range of 5186-5223.
While World stocks were near all-time highs as markets waited for steers from the Federal Reserve and ECB on diverging policy plans, Reuters reported.
Adaro Energy fell 1.95%, Alam Sutera declined 1.82%, Lippo Karawaci shed 1.71%, Telkom lost 1.1%, and Bank Tabungan Negara down 1.67%.
Among gainers were Bumi Resources (+3.31%), Jababeka (+4.64%), Hanson International (+1.53%), and Visi Media (+1%).
Nymex’s crude oil declined 0.39% to US$93.59 per barrel while gold rose 0.49% to US$1,281.70 per ounce. The rupiah strengthened to Rp11,654 against the US dollar.
