JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Indonesia Motorcycles Industry Association (AISI) is optimistic national motorcycles sales to reach 7.7-7.9 million units this year as sales during first half exceeded 4 million units.

In first half, national motorcycles sales grew by 7.02% to 4.2 million units, compared to 3.9 million units in the same period of last year.

Holda sold 2.6 million units (62.3% market share), followed by Yamaha 1.3 million (31.7%), Suzuki 166,369 units (3.9%), Kawasaki 79,741 units (1.9%), and TVS 10,168 units (0.2%).

While national car sales is expected to grow by 5% to 1.28 million units this year, compared to 1.22 million units last year.
