JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended higher 0.59% at 5119 Monday (August 4) after one week holiday.
Trade was volatile as the index opened in red. It moved at range of 5050-5119 during the day trading.
Investors focused buying mining and trade stocks. While finance, agriculture and property stocks closed in red.
Coal miner Adaro Energy jumped 4.2%, Bumi Resources rose 1.06%, and Perusahaan Gas Negara gained 3.39%.
Other gainers were Astra International (+2.27%), Bank Central Asia (+1.08%), Jababeka (+1.15%), Telkom (+1.5%), and Visi Media (+3%).
Among losers were Aneka Tambang (-3.94%), Alam Sutera (-1.9%), Bank Rakyat Indonesia (-2%), Kalbe Farma (-4.34%), Timah (-1.4%), Bank Tabungan Negara (-2.78%), Adhi Karya (-1.6%), Waskita Karya (-1.32%), Multipolar (-2.67%), Pakuwon Jati (-3.37%), and Matahari Putra Prima (-1.7%).
Nymex’s crude oil increased 0.18% to US$98.06 per barrel and gold inched up 0.02% to 1,295.10 per ounce. The rupiah weakened to Rp11,747 against the US dollar.
