JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) revealed Monday (August 4) that July 2014 inflation was 0.93%, compared to 0.43% inflation in previous month.

Of 82 cities, all cities recorded inflation. Highest inflation occurred in Bengkulu.

The inflation was contributed by staple foods (1.94%), processed food beverages, cigarettes, and tobacco (1%), housing, water, electricity, gas, fuel (0.45%), clothes (0.85%), health (0.39%), education, recreation, and sport (0.45%), and transportation, communication, financial services (0.88).

Year to date, the inflation was 2.94% while year-on-year inflation reaches 4.53%.
