JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) closed flat Wednesday (July 23), only up 0.19% to 5093, as profit taking cut the index’s earlier gain. The index moved at range of 5087-5139.
Bumi Resources gained 1.3%, Kalbe Farma rose 1.15%, Multipolar jumped 5.56%, and Pakuwon Jati hiked 1.89%. Telkom lost 1.5% and Wijaya Karya fell 1.99%.
While Asian stocks rose as some markets focused on company earnings more than geopolitical tensions.
Nymex’s crude oil fell 0.36% to US$102.02 per barrel while gold rose 0.2% to US$1,309.70 per ounce. The rupiah strengthened further to Rp11,498 against the US dollar as Jokowi won the presidential election.
