JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The legal team of presidential candidates Prabowo Subianto-Hatta Rajasa has confirmed to file a criminal charge to the National Police against the General Election Commission (KPU) on Monday (July 21) should the KPU insists to continue the recapitulation of votes of presidential election, Kompas.com reported.
Habiburakhman, Head of Prabowo-Hatta’s legal team, said that his side will also file a report against the KPU to the Election Organizers Ethics Council (DKPP). The Gerindra Party politician said the KPU should stop the recapitulation of votes and delay the official announcement of the final results of the election until August 8.
Habiburakhman argued that the KPU must settle the allegation of various electoral frauds founded by Prabowo-Hatta team.
The KPU, meanwhile, decided to neglecting Prabowo-Hatta’s request and continue to finishing the recapitulation of votes. The KPU, as scheduled, will announce the elected President and Vice President on Tuesday. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
