JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – While the composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) jumped 1.74% to 5112 on broader market sentiment, stocks related to Bakrie and MNC Group lost grounds this morning.
Bumi Resources, controlled by Bakrie Group, dropped further by 3%. Visi Media (Bakrie) also dropped 4.48%.
While MNC Land of MNC Group collapsed 10.3%. Bakrie and MNC are big supporters of Prabowo-Hatta campaign.
The presidential election has been held smoothly on Wednesday (July 9). Most polling agencies have declared Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo as Indonesia’s new president based on their respective quick counts.
Three polling agencies linked to Prabowo, however, claimed Prabowo’s lead over Jokowi.
