JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Consumer goods giant PT Unilever Indonesia (UNVR) Tbk has taken over the position of Bank Central Asia (BBCA) as the third largest company on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) by market capitalization.

Unilever ended higher by 2% to Rp34,600 Friday (July 19) to make market capitalization of Rp264 trillion, bigger than BCA (Rp251.5 trillion). Unilever jumped 66% year-to-date, while BCA gained only 12.1%.

Unilever is now inches below Astra International (ASII), which has market cap of Rp269.2 trillion, but about US$10 billion below cigarette giant HM Sampoerna (Rp367 trillion).

Completing the Top 10 are Telkom Indonesia, Bank Mandiri, BRI, PGN, Gudang Garam, and Semen Indonesia.
